Umami With Hanni:

Hanni came down last Saturday because he had a show at Spaceland. His first show in Los Angeles since being signed to Innovative Leisure. He brought Nicky and Billy with him. They were hungry and I recently stumbled upon Umami Burgers happy hour deal. Their happy hour only, Smash Burger, is $5 and all draft beers are $4. I don’t know of a better deal in town so I took them to see what they thought. Too bad happy hour is only Monday through Friday. I guess I should have known that. These guys weren’t too worried about missing happy hour and ordered Hatch Burgers. The Hatch Burger has four different kinds of chiles and garlic aoli cooked medium rare. They all left extremely happy. 

I have said it before and I will say it again, Umami Burger has it owns place in the hamburger landscape. You crave Umami specifically. It’s not the answer for all hamburger cravings. That being said, the Smash Burger, is the best deal in town during happy hour.
