Mexico City:

My friend Greg was in town a couple weeks ago from New York. He brought his partners from, No Favorite, a web design company, because they had some work out in Los Angeles. We all went to dinner on a Friday night at Mexico City. Mexico City is a good “beans and rice” Mexican restaurant. They get a little more inventive with their menu than the just cheese enchiladas and chile relleno combos.  Check out the Chile Relleno with a walnut cream sauce. They also make the best sweet corn tamales I have ever had. The best. So good I ordered them take out last night. People complain that the crowd is too “hipster”. While there are lots of people over 30 with full sleeves and odd piercings that shouldn’t stop anyone from tasting the tamales.
