Machos Tacos:

I got a job working for a screenwriter, Becky Johnston, on a Wim Wenders movie. I have not been working much for the last seven months so it was kind of hard getting back in that mode. I forgot what it was like to have a deadline. I love deadlines. The night before I had to turn everything in I was up working late and had to grab take out from Machos Tacos.

Al Pastor Taco: It was good but didn’t taste like the pastor I am used too. There was no trace of pineapple and the definitely didn’t cook it on a spit. I will not be going back here for the al pastor.

Carnitas Plate: The carnitas were pretty good. Nothing groundbreaking but comforting because they are close to where I am staying. The refried beans were good. Covered in monterey jack and cheddar cheese and cooked with lots of lard.

Machos Tacos is a good neighborhood taco stand especially because they close around midnight. I probably wouldn’t go there unless everything else in the neighborhood was closed.
