M Cafe De Chaya:
M Cafe De Chaya serves “contemporary macrobiotic cuisine”. From my experience they served a whole lot of gas. Nat and I ate here for lunch one day and the food was not bad. I wished the celery root remoulade I ordered had some more bite to it, but other than that no complaints. The problems kicked in about five minutes after we left. My stomach felt like a balloon that was about to pop. I kept quiet about it for most of the day. Nat didn’t mention it until a few hours later. M Cafe did us dirty. It’s the type of thing you don’t want to mention, but once you find out it’s a shared experience, the floodgates of discussion are open. Later that night at dinner, we spoke to another person who had the same experience. I will never return to M Cafe because no meal is worth that much discomfort. The macrobiotic diet is not for me.
