Monterey Brewing Company:

We stopped at Monterey Coast Brewing Company in Salinas for lunch on the way home from Carmel. It served standard brewing company restaurant food. Since I didn’t want french fries the burger was ruled out, so I ordered tri tip. It is nothing worth writing about. I also ordered their Christmas Ale. It came in a ten ounce glass and was a Belgium trappist ale with a really nice flavor to it. I don’t know if a trappist ale is what I associate it with Christmas but I can deal with it. Next door to this place is a restaurant where Rachel Ray filmed her $40 dollar show. If you are in Salinas let me know how that place is because it looked better than the Monterey Brewing Company. (DanEats is really big in Salinas.)
