La Playita El 7 Mares:

Imagine my joy when we pulled up to La Playita El 7 Mares and saw the 99 cent taco Tuesday sign. Miranda told me about this place in July and I finally got to check it out. They make fish tacos of the fried filet variety with hot sauce, sour cream, and cabbage on top. Squeeze a little lime and you are good to go. El 7 Mares makes a good fish taco and it tastes even better when it costs 99 cents.

The problem with El 7 Mares are their non fish tacos. The fifth photo is of two carne asada tacos and a carnitas taco. They were three of the most pathetic tacos I have ever seen in my life. The only way could tell the difference between both meats was their color. The shape, texture, and non existent flavor was a shared problem.

I told Miranda how bad the non fish tacos were and she reasoned you should only be ordering fish from El 7 Mares. I get her point and I guess it’s similar to ordering a veggie burger from Corner Bistro but I don’t understand why they even make an attempt. It’s not fair to disguise yourself as taqueria when you can only serve one type of taco. There should be a disclaimer on the menu saying “Only order fish here. We don’t care about anything else.” Let this be a warning to you.
