Heron sent me this photo of the ginger fried chicken today from the newly reopened Lovely Day. It was such a fixture in downtown New York because of it’s reasonable prices and good food. Sometimes you avoided walking by because you didn’t want to run into someone you knew. This is where I first learned and liked Lambrusco and is also where the waiter turned me off to Lambrusco when he opened our bottle and told us it tasted like vinegar. It never tasted the same again.
